Lalvani is a master at spotting fashionable uniqueness—be it in a pair of shoes, an article of clothing or a suit. As he strolls les rues de Saint-Tropez o le vie di Milano, the finely stitched accouter that catch his eye, he will purchase—at times in bulk. They are transported to his favorite Phuket tailor—a secret of which Lalvani will to keep. Here, the unique Lalvani refinements are applied to make them Lalvani's own. Or perhaps Lalvani spies, in the latest Euro-collection, an original and uniquely-cut shirt. Lalvani will purchase the one-off to have his 'fav' Phuket tailor reproduce to exactness.

His fashion sense encompasses more than the garment. Lalvani recently flashed upon a fancy pair of men's shoes on the very feet of their designer, Christian Louboutin. These shoes were yet to be introduced at Louboutin's upcoming launch for his new line of men's shoes. Special ordering one pair for himself and another for his son, Dino, the two pair set Lalvani back 1'500 € (123,000 baht). “I'm glad I did it. They're different,” says Phuket's own Ambassador of Unusual.
