Royal Phuket Marina Kicks Off the Holiday Season with a Series of Luxury Events (03 Dec 2009)

(Phuket, Thailand, November 17, 2009) - Thailand's premier world-class yachting hub,  Royal Phuket Marina (RPM) is kicking-off the annual Holiday Season with a series of prestigious luxury events showcasing some of the world's most admired supercars.

The Phuket season officially begins at RPM's Town Square on Friday, November 20th when international society magazine Phuket Tatler hosts its annual Christmas Cocktail. Phuket’s social set and a host of visiting VIPs from around the globe can expect a glamorous night under the stars with gourmet dining and superb entertainment in true Tatler and Royal Phuket Marina fashion.           

The glamour continues over the weekend when Thailand’s Niche Cars presents two days of speed, elegance and sheer beauty on November 21 and 22 when it introduces the "Italian raging bull" the Lamborghini Gallardo, while legendary British motor company Lotus presents the Lotus Exige and Lotus Elise. Admission is free and all are welcome. 

The following week, RPM will again be centre stage for supercars on November 28 this time for the 'AAS South Speed Tour, Phuket 2009', which will unveil the sumptuous Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed, and the marque's most powerful convertible ever, the Bentley Continental GTC Speed.

Thailand's Porsche and Bentley distributors AAS Auto Service are also showcasing the latest model of the legendary Porsche 911 Carrera.

Phuket’s appeal as one of the world's most popular holiday destinations was recently underlined by the resumption of direct flights from Hong Kong to Phuket by Thai Airways and the introduction of a new daily direct service from Hong Kong by Air Asia, the regions leading low fare airline. 

Royal Phuket Marina has become a magnet for prestigious events since opening the 2,500 sq m RPM International Exhibition & Conference Centre – Phuket’s largest single indoor events space, paving the way for large-scale conferences and expos, and a venue for society weddings and events.
