MISS UNIVERSE VISITS ROYAL PHUKET MARINA
 

Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005, and Thai tennis sensation Khun Paradorn Srichaphan visited Royal Phuket Marina. Miss Glebova modelled for a swimsuit photoshoot with Thailand’s leading fashion magazine “Praew” and was welcomed by owner Mr Gulu Lalvani. The photos will appear in April’s issue of Praew.

Royal Phuket Marina Cruising Club has added another boat to its fractional boat ownership program. The stunning Manhattan 50 is the ultimate in cruising luxury, with a tri-deck layout that allows owners true flexibility whilst cruising. Enjoy the sun shine and fresh air up on the spacious fly bridge or relax in air condition comfort in the huge and sumptuous saloon deck. Downstairs is a full width double stateroom as well as a forward double cabin, both with en-suite. There is also a pullman cabin for the kids or guests. Each cabin is fitted with a flat screen television and is climate controlled for everyone’s comfort.



The Manhattan 50 is fitted with twin 800 horse power common rail MAN diesel engines and cruises at 22 knots very economically. She is capable of 34 knots when the extra power is needed. Fitted with state of the art electronics in both the upper and lower helm stations, navigation is a breeze. Romantic and functional underwater lights and deck illumination has also been included in this boat’s vast inventory of options.

IB VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION
 

British International School, Phuket's International Baccalaureate (IB) Art Students held an exhibition titled 'spot the seven differences' at the Royal Phuket Marina from March 23rd to April 30th this year.

The marina provides a beautiful backdrop for this event. The opening night, held on March 23rd was opened by Mr. Rawat Areerob, Advisor to the CEO, Phuket Provincial Administration Organization. The event was supported by the School's music department providing live music from their student Thai instrumental band, Jazz band and the Senior School Choir.

Wine and food was available sponsored by Les Anges @ Royal Phuket Marina and was enjoyed by over 100 guest made up of parents, Phuket celebrities and other distinguished guests. Local, national newspapers and television were also present to cover this very important event in the School calendar.

 

The seven Year 13 students exbihibiting their art – Kymberly Maitland-Smith (English/Filipino), Rosalia Sempere Pico (Spanish), Tiffany DesPortes (American/Thai), Saowalak Tan (Malaysian/Thai), Eva Boese (German/Taiwanese) Trinity Han-Byul Kim (Korean) and Christina Schmid (Swiss/Thai) have produce a wide range of artwork over 18 months of very hardwork, which displays technical excellence and strong concepts that reflect their own experiences and culture.

The IB Visual Art Exhibition will remain at the Royal Phuket Marina until April 30th. Viewing time is from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
